Pacific Faces Setback at Pepperdine

MALIBU, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program dropped a 9-0 decision to Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon at Tari Frahm Rokus Field.

The Tigers (3-5-3, 0-2-1 WCC) fell behind early and never could catch up as the Waves (6-4-1, 3-0-0) peppered nine goals from eight different scorers.

Pacific registered eight shot attempts in the match with graduate Taylor Curtis and freshman Yohonna Bell recording the only shots on target for the Tigers throughout the afternoon.

Freshman Lis Van Herwijnen was tested often with a barrage of attempts by the home team, making a career-high seven saves in the process from her end.

It's the second time in the series history where the Waves put up a nine-spot against the Tigers, which last happened in 2017.

The Tigers will look to put this one in the rear-view mirror as they settle in for their next West Coast Conference opponent at Seattle at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
