LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Entering the 2025-26 season, Pacific women's basketball was predicted to finish eighth in the West Coast Conference preseason poll one year after making its third straight run to the quarterfinal in last year's tournament.
The Tigers will be sporting a new look from previous seasons after the departure of
Anaya James,
Liz Smith, and
Elizabeth Elliott – all of whom now play professionally. To replace the trio, Pacific brought in three freshmen in
Liv Yergensen,
Sophia Mindermann and
LaMiracle Lebon alongside transfers
Winner Bartholomew from Rider University,
Mali Ennis from Saint Mary's, and
Hannah Burg from Augustana.
Senior
Sydney Ward and junior
Marina Radocaj each started 30 games for the Tigers last season and figure to feature heavily in the rotation once again. Primarily coming off the bench last season, sophomore
Daria Nestorov returns to the program after spending the summer training and competing with the Serbian national team while junior
Nyah Lowery appears primed for another high leverage campaign after being one of just two student-athletes to appear in all 34 games last season.
The team also regains the services of redshirt sophomore
Kenlee Durrill who missed the entirety of last season due to injury.
In a reversal of last season, the Tigers will play nine of 12 non-conference games at the Alex G. Spanos Center, beginning on November 3 at 6 p.m. against future WCC foe UC San Diego. Following the UCSD game the team will face Cal Baptist, Seton Hall, Cal State Fullerton, Milwaukee, Jacksonville State, Sacramento State, Simpson, and Washington at home while making trips to California, San Diego State and Nevada.
