STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program takes part of the Homecoming Weekend festivities, hosting Santa Clara at 2 p.m. on Saturday from Knoles Field.
The Tigers (3-6-3, 0-3-1 WCC) seek their first West Coast Conference win of the 2025 campaign, looking for a breakthrough against the Broncos (5-5-2, 1-1-2 WCC) at home.
Sophomore
Sierah McCallum paces the Pacific offense with a pair of goals on the year. McCallum has applied pressure on opposing backlines when called upon, totaling a team-high 18 shot attempts, including a team-best five shot attempts in WCC play.
Graduate student
Taylor Curtis and junior
Kaya Rosa have also been offensive presences with the ball when attacking, tied for second on the team with four shot attempts each during the conference slate.
Defensively, freshman
Lis Van Herwijnen has started the bulk of games for the Tigers, racking up 28 saves through seven starts. Taking out the last two contests, Van Herwijnen has kept the Tigers within reach as during her first five starts, she gave up fewer than two goals in each of those.
The Broncos come to Stockton following their first conference loss of the season to Pepperdine on Wednesday. SCU earned its first WCC victory of the year at Washington State and has settled for a pair of draws against Portland and Seattle.
Kennedy Schoennauer leads the Broncos with four goals on the year while Leah O'Brien has collected a team-best four assists and ten points.
In goal, Santa Clara has split time between its two goalkeepers in Ally Reynolds and Amaris Franco. While each have started six contests, it's Reynolds who sports a team-low 1.17 goals against average and .774 save percentage.
Pacific and Santa Clara go head-to-head for the 20th all-time meeting that dates back to 1998. The Tigers seek their first victory over the Broncos for the first time since the 2022 season at home. In that contest, Pacific scored a goal in each half to win by a 2-0 margin.
Saturday's match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dennis Ackerman on the call for the 2 p.m. scheduled kick-off.
