FRESNO, Calif. – In its first showing of 2025, the 19th-ranked Pacific women's water polo program dropped a 21-10 decision to No. 14 Michigan in an exhibition match Sunday morning at the Aquatics Center, hosted by Fresno State as part of its Polapalooza tournament.

Dora Alaksza, a 2024 All-America Honorable Mention, registered four goals and an assist. Senior
Addison McGowan heavily aided the offense with a hat trick.

A pair of goals were scored by sophomore
Alicia Petkov, including the first of the game to put the Tigers ahead 1-0. Sophomore
Ella Cowan tacked one on in the third quarter.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Maja Lizy Dulic played the whole way in net and made seven saves. She was the starting goalkeeper in 22 of 27 games last year and was a GCC Honorable Mention.

Pacific will open the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 1 when it travels out east for a tournament in Providence, Rhode Island. The first match is against Villanova that Saturday at 8:20 a.m. (PT).
