MORAGA, Calif. – Pacific women's basketball shot 35.3% from the field resulting in a 64-44 defeat to Saint Mary's from the UCU Pavilion on Saturday night.
Pacific (7-10, 3-4 WCC) was held to 18-for-51 from the floor and just five total free throw attempts in the game – a season low and just the third time the team has shot fewer than 10 free throws all season.
The Tigers were led in scoring by senior
Anaya James and sophomore
Marina Radocaj who finished with 13 and 12 points respectively. The senior guard has scored in double figures in eight of the nine games since the start of December. She also finished her night with two rebounds, five assists, four steals and a block.
Radocaj finished one rebound shy of a double-double for the second time in three games with a final line of 12 points, 9 rebounds, four assists and four blocks. The rebounds and assists match her career-highs while the four blocks eclipse her previous career-high of three against Oregon State earlier this season.
Sophomore
Jamie Kent logged her longest appearance of the season, playing 11 minutes and set a new career-high six points while matching her career-highs in both rebounds and steals (four rebounds and one steal).
The Tigers defense, despite holding Saint Mary's (9-7, 5-2 WCC) to 64 points, allowed the team to shoot 50% from the field (27-for-54) marking the first opponent to shoot 50% on Pacific since Gonzaga on February 17 of last season.
Looking forward for Pacific are two home matches against LMU and San Francisco. LMU comes to the Alex G. Spanos Center on Thursday at 6 p.m. while San Francisco makes its trip to the Spanos Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
