Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Pacific Couldn’t Get it Going against Oregon State Saturday

STOCKTON, Calif. – Coming off a triumphant win over Washington State on Thursday, the Pacific men's basketball program was unable to duplicate its performance Saturday in a 91-55 defeat to Oregon State at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

Pacific (6-14, 1-5 WCC) fell behind early and couldn't find its rhythm against an Oregon State (13-5, 3-2 WCC) squad the drew fouls and was on fire from the free throw line. The Beavers were 31-of-32 (.969) from the charity stripe and shot .565 from the field and .400 from three on the night.

Junior Lamar Washington, who was coming off a heroic 40-point performance in the win over the Cougars, followed it up with a team-high 13 points. Over the two games, he averaged over 39 minutes per outing.

Making a return was senior Elias Ralph. After leaving Thursday's game after the very first possession due to an injury, he came back to net 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Juniors Elijah Fisher and Jefferson Koulibaly aided the attack with 10 points apiece.

The Tigers made the most of their free throw opportunities as well, and despite not having as many attempts as the Beavers, they were 10-of-11. Koulibaly, Ralph and Washington were each 2-of-2, while Fisher was 4-of-5.

Pacific's only lead came on the opening possession of the game as Ralph hit a jumper in the paint.

Oregon State was paced by Parsa Fallah who ended with 25 points on 6-of-7 shooting and was 13-of-14 from the free throw line.

Up next, the Tigers will travel to Portland for a 7 p.m. game Thursday at the Chiles Center.
