PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The seventh-ranked Pacific men's water polo program will begin the 2024 campaign with a trek to the east coast with two exhibition matches and two regular season matches.
The Tigers will first take the pool Saturday with a 9:45 a.m. (PT) exhibition match against Iona, hosted by Brown at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center. Pacific will play its regular season opener against No. 20 Brown at 3:45 p.m. (PT) Saturday.

Pacific will head to Cambridge, Massachusetts on Sunday for two more matches, starting with a 6 a.m. (PT) contest against No. 15 Harvard at Blodgett Pool. The weekend will conclude with a 11:30 a.m. (PT) exhibition against MIT, hosted by Harvard.
The Tigers return the majority of their squad from a 2022 team that reached the NCAA Tournament semifinals. Five of those starters sat out last year but return with national championship hopes which includes graduate

Jeremie Cote, senior
Reuel D'Souza, senior
Mihailo Vukazic and graduate
Matthew Hosmer.
D'Souza and Cote, the team captains, were recognized on the seven-person West Coast Conference Preseason Team. The Tigers were predicted to win the league in the WCC Preseason Poll after earning five of six first-place votes.
To further add to the depth and retention of this year's squad, the Tigers brought back last year's star
Stefan Vavic '24, who transferred from USC. Vavic was a 2023 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-America Honorable Mention and led the Tigers with 50 goals and 86 points.
The Tigers are 9-0 all-time against Brown and 6-1 against Harvard. They are also 4-0 all-time against both Iona and MIT in regular season matches.
The weekend kicks-off a loaded schedule for the Tigers as 17 of their 19 regular season matches are against teams who ended in the Top-20 last year.
