NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -Â The Pacific men's soccer team completes its three-game road trip with a match against CSU Northridge at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Matador Soccer Field.Â

The Tigers (2-1) earned their second shutout victory of the season last Sunday, defeating UC Riverside 2-0 on the road.Â

"It's another road trip against a good opponent that has started the year well," head coach
Adam Reeves said. "The guys should take a lot of confidence from their performance last Sunday and build upon it. The confidence of working hard for the entire 90 minutes goes a long way."

Fifth year
Vinzent Zingel recorded his first career multi-goal performance in the 2-0 win over the Highlanders, scoring a brace on three shots on goal. Zingel leads Pacific with two goals and four points, which rank among the top ten in the West Coast Conference leaderboards.

Junior
Jose Maria Barrera has been a steady force for the Tigers on offense, firing a team-high five shots on goal. Barrera scored the lone goal in the second half of a 1-0 victory over UC Davis in the season opener.

Senior
Joshua Moya has started all three games in net, collecting two shutout victories this season for four clean sheets in his career. Moya was named WCC Defensive Player of the Week following the opening week of the season.Â

Moya's 19 saves, 6.33 saves per game and .864 save percentage lead the WCC. Furthermore, Moya is nationally ranked among the top 30 in saves (11th), saves per game (8th), save percentage (29) and shutouts (4th).

CSU Northridge (1-1-1) opened the season at home with a 1-1 tie against No. 18 James Madison and earned a 2-1 road win at No. 11 LMU to wrap-up August. The Matadors dropped a 1-0 decision at home to California last Sunday.

The Tigers and Matadors meet for the fourth time in series history. Pacific owns a 2-1 edge, winning the first two meetings against CSUN, including a 1-0 road victory in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
