Pacific Hosts LMU for WCC Home Opener

STOCKTON, Calif. – Looking to carry momentum from its non-conference finale, the Pacific women's soccer program kicks off its conference slate with a 7 p.m. contest Saturday against LMU at Knoles Field.

The Tigers (2-7-1) are coming off a 1-0 road victory over UC San Diego last weekend. Pacific will play its first home game since Sept. 12.

"We've had a good week of training," co-head coach Danesha Adams said. "The energy level has been high and the group is ready to start our second season. It's nice to be at home again, especially to open WCC play."

Freshman Sierah McCallum leads the Tigers with four goals, nine points and nine shots on goal. McCallum scored the game-winner in the win over the Tritons. The native of Henderson, Nevada ranks among the top ten on the conference leaderboards in goals and points.

Junior Alexis Pashales has been a steady presence on offense, scoring three goals in home games this year. Pashales paces the Tigers with 13 shot attempts and has started all ten games in the 2024 season with a team-high 777 minutes.

Freshman Sierra Schwarz has started the last four games in goal for Pacific, earning her first career win and shutout last weekend over UC San Diego. Schwarz has tallied 37 saves in seven appearances during her first-year campaign.

The Lions (6-2) enter the match on a four-game winning streak, having beaten CSU Bakersfield and Cal State Fullerton over the last two weeks. Kylie Dobbs leads LMU with six goals and 19 shots on goal.

The Tigers and Lions go head-to-head for the 13th time in series history with both teams each owning six wins under their belts. Pacific holds a four-game winning streak into the match-up, claiming victory in Los Angeles last season by a 2-1 score. In that contest, Pashales scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute of the match to secure the victory.

Saturday's match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dennis Ackerman on the call.
