Lithuanian Forward Kristupas Keinys Transfers from Minnesota to Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. – Playing his freshman season in the Big Ten Conference, Kristupas Keinys will bring his Power Five experience to Pacific as it was announced he will join the squad for 2024-25.
 
Keinys transfers from Minnesota and was part of a team that finished 19-15 overall and won a game over Butler in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). He saw limited action but appeared in five games.
 
Keinys comes in as a 6-8, 214 forward from Klaipeda, Lithuania. He has international experience as he played for Lithuania in the FIBA U18 European Championship in 2022 and averaged 4.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and shot 44 percent from the field. He also participated in the 2020 Baltic Cup with the Lithuanian 16-year-old national team, which won first place.
 
Prior to Minnesota, Keiny's played with Klaipedos Neptunas-Akvaservis in Lithuania and averaged 8.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks in 38 games in the National Basketball League (NKL). He went to high school at Klaipedos Vytauto Didžiojo gimnazija (Vytautas The Great Gymnasium).
 
Keinys has three years of eligibility remaining and will be majoring in Sport Management & Analytics at Pacific.
