STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team faced a goliath amidst its home stretch and despite tying the match after doubles, Cal State Fullerton came out on top, defeating the Tigers 4-1 at home.
Junior
Megan Carmichael and freshman
Indiya McLeod led off the day for the Tigers, grabbing a 6-4 doubles win over the Titans on court three. The duo claimed their first doubles win as a tandem, debuting together for the first time this season. Despite close battles on the remaining courts, Fullerton grabbed the doubles point to start the match up 1-0.
Faced with implementation of a similar comeback game plan as the day prior, the Tigers buckled in for singles. Junior
Tomi Main swiftly defeated Sein Myoung on court two 6-1, 6-1 to even the score 1-1. She improved to 7-4 from court two after going 2-0 over the weekend.
Senior
Klara Kosan clinched her first set 6-2 on court one over Josie Usereau but the Titan got one back in the second to force a third set. The match went unfinished as Fullerton won the match after securing wins on courts three, five and six.
The Tigers close out their eight match homestand with two conference contests. They host San Francisco on Thursday, April 11 before celebrating their seniors while hosting Santa Clara on Saturday, April 13.
