No. 20 Pacific Welcomes California Baptist for Senior Day

STOCKTON, Calif. – No. 20 Pacific women's water polo hosts California Baptist for Senior Day and Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day at noon on Saturday at Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
 
The contest also marks the final home game of the season for Pacific.
 
Before the contest, the Tigers will honor seniors Megan Acosta, June Akpata, Mia Garcia, Isabelle Knittle, Annikah Lillie and graduate student Hailey Williams.
 
Pacific (13-8, 2-2 GCC) is riding a three-game winning streak. The Tigers' last victory came against No. 22 San Diego State by a score of 8-5.
 
Sophomore Dora Alaksza is Pacific's leading scorer with 85 points on 73 goals and 12 assists. The Budapest, Hungary native has scored in every game this season and currently leads the Golden Coast Conference in goals and goals per game (3.5). Alaksza is also the first player in program history to be named to the Cutino Award Watch List.
 
Junior Hila Futorian is second on the team with 56 points on 35 goals and 21 assists. Junior Addison McGowan has 29 points on 14 goals and 15 assists while freshman Ella Cowan is registering 22 points on 10 goals and 12 assists.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Maja Lizy Dulic has recorded nine wins in net while grabbing 144 saves on the season. The Kecskemet, Hungary native is fifth in total saves and stops per game (7.6). Acosta holds a 4-0 record in net and has tallied 28 saves.
 
The Tigers are on an 11-game winning streak against the Lancers. California Baptist (10-14, 2-1 GCC) is currently receiving votes in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll. The Lancers are coming off a 9-8 non conference victory at Cal State Fullerton. California Baptist earned GCC wins against Azusa Pacific (12-11) and Concordia Irvine (12-11).
 
Emaly Hutton leads the Lancers in scoring with 69 points on 50 goals and 19 assists. Tyanna Schneider is the top goalkeeper in the GCC, leading the league with 190 saves total and 8.6 stops per game.
 
Up next, Pacific rounds out the regular season on the road beginning at No. 8 Fresno State at 1 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 19.
