No. 48 Pacific Wraps Road Slate at Gonzaga

STOCKTON, Calif.- The No. 48 Pacific men's tennis team concludes a four match road stint with a trip to Gonzaga, with the match set for Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m.

Following their win over San Diego, the Tigers traveled to Cal Poly for a rescheduled match against the Mustangs, one of two rescheduled matches in the last week. After falling to Santa Clara, the Tigers earned the 4-0 sweep over the Gaels, moving to a 5-2 road record. Gonzaga is the last road trip of the regular season for the Tigers, as Pacific returns home for a key match against Pepperdine.

Senior Peter Alam leads the Tigers with a 12-1 singles record on the season. He is undefeated on courts two and three. Alam and his doubles partner junior Justas Trainauskas hold a 9-2 doubles record from court one.

Senior Ran Amar moved to an 11-3 singles record after a win in Santa Clara. Sophomore Tiago Silva is now 12-4 in singles, while currently enjoying a seven match unbeaten streak.

Since returning to the WCC, the Tigers are 7-1 against the Bulldogs dating back to 2013. Their lone loss in that time span came in the 2022 season, as Gonzaga swept Pacific on its home court. The Tigers are 3-1 in Spokane.

Pacific bounced back into the win column after the 4-1 decision in Stockton a year ago. The Tigers are in pursuit of the first win in Spokane since 2018.

The Bulldogs are 7-9 this season and have collected two conference wins. They return after a tough road trip to Southern California, dropping both matches to LMU and San Diego 4-0. Gonzaga has yet to lose a home match, posting a 5-0 record at the Stevens Center.
