STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific men's tennis team travels to Moraga for a rescheduled match against Saint Mary's on Tuesday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
The Tigers come off a 1-1 weekend on the road, having collected its 14th match win in a row after defeating Cal Poly 4-2 on the road. No. 58 Santa Clara got the 4-2 upset at home over Pacific as the Tigers fell for the first time since January.
Senior
Peter Alam leads the Tigers with an 11-1 singles record on the season. He is 6-0 between courts two and three and 4-1 in conference matches. The senior captain, alongside doubles partner junior
Justas Trainauskas, have been a staple amongst the top ranked doubles tandems in the country since November. They currently rank 60th in the nation and hold an 8-2 record this year.
Sophomore
Tiago Silva holds a 11-4 record this season and a 7-1 record from court three. After going 2-0 over the weekend, the sophomore is currently enjoying a six match unbeaten streak. Senior
Ran Amar is 11-3 this season after coming off a win over Santa Clara over the weekend. He is unbeaten on courts two through four this year.
As a collective, the Tigers are 67-25 in singles this season.
The Tigers are 4-4 against the Gaels since returning to the West Coast Conference in 2013. They started out with four wins through the 2017 season and the Gaels have claimed the last four matches in the series. The Tigers last won in Moraga in 2016 behind a 4-0 shutout.
Pacific is now 4-2 on the road this year while Saint Mary's is 3-4 at home.
