IRVINE, Calif. – The University of the Pacific had a total of seven men's water polo players earn All-Academic honors for the fall 2023 season, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced Friday.
In order to qualify as an Academic All-American, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.20 cumulative institutional grade point average (GPA) and must have competed in at least one of the institution's water polo contests. Students who receive the award exemplify the dedication to maintaining high standards both in the pool and in the classroom.
The awards for the 2023 season recognize 594 total students from 51 colleges and universities. The ACWPC separates the All-Academic awards into three divisions based on GPA: (4.0-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) and Excellence 3.40-3.20).
