STOCKTON, Calif.-?? The Pacific women's tennis team locked up its fourth win in a row after defeating Northern Arizona 5-2 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
Pacific quickly went to work, jumping ahead 1-0 after earning the doubles point. Senior
Klara Kosan and junior
Tomi Main moved to 7-4 on the season after defeating the Lumberjacks 7-5 on court one. Northern Arizona struck back on court two, but freshman
Indiya McLeod and junior
Liza Mladentseva broke through on court three to clinch the doubles point 7(7)-6(5).
Kosan and fellow senior
Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle built up the Tigers lead earning two singles wins. Kosan grabbed a 6-1, 6-2 win on court one over Northern Arizona's Patrycja Niewiadomska. Clydesdale-Eberle captured the win on court six after NAU retired in the second set.
McLeod pushed the Tigers over the edge after a 6-2, 6-4 win on court five for her sixth straight singles win. She improved to 7-1 on the season The Tigers played through the match with Mladentseva capturing the 6-4, 6-4 win from court four for her fifth straight singles win.
The Tigers improved to 2-1 at home facing six more home matches. They return on Sunday morning for a conference match against Saint Mary's.
