STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific men's tennis team heads east for three matches in four days as the Tigers take on Prairie View, Georgia State and host UTSA in San Antonio, Texas.
Senior
Peter Alam and junior
Justas Trainauskas remain a staple part of the ITA men's tennis doubles rankings. The No. 26 ranked pair are 6-1 playing at the one and are currently enjoying a five match winning streak.
Both Alam and sophomore
Terence Das have yet to lose a singles match this season, remaining unbeaten in five and seven matches respectively. Senior
Ran Amar is 5-1 to start the season and boasts a 4-0 record playing from the four.
The Tigers play their remaining neutral site matches against Prairie View and Georgia State. Pacific is 2-0 in its matches on a neutral court this season, last defeating Ball State in La Jolla, Calif.
It's the first ever on court meeting between the Tigers and both Panthers. Prairie View is 1-3 in its neutral matches this season, last defeating conference opponent Mississippi Valley State a month ago. Georgia State has yet to play on a neutral court this season. The Georgia State Panthers are 5-9 to start the year.
In between the two contests, the Tigers battle host UTSA. The two teams have met twice before and have yet to play in San Antonio. Pacific hosted its first match with UTSA in 2008 in Stockton, with the Roadrunners upsetting the Tigers 4-3. They last met in Santa Barbara in 2022. The Roadrunners are 3-0 at home this season, while the Tigers are 1-1 on the road.
Upon their return to California, the Tigers head out on the road to Saint Mary's and San Francisco for their first conference matches of the season.
