Tigers Prep for First Meeting with San Diego this Season

STOCKTON, Calif. – The only West Coast Conference team that the Pacific men's basketball program has not faced yet this season, San Diego will square off with the Tigers at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

It will be the only game of the weekend for both Pacific (6-19, 0-10 WCC) and San Diego (14-11, 4-6 WCC). The Tigers fell to first-place Saint Mary's on Tuesday, while the Toreros beat Loyola Marymount on Wednesday and are coming off back-to-back wins.

In Pacific's game against the Gaels, senior Jalen Brown stood out with a season-high 11 points. He came off the bench to shoot 4-of-5 from the field and 3-of-4 from long range.

Senior Lesown Hallums, Jr. was honored Tuesday with the CalHope Courage Award. The award honors student-athletes at California colleges and universities who have overcome the stress, anxiety, and mental trauma associated with personal hardships and adversity. Pacific has been without senior Donovan Williams the last two games due to injury. In conference games, Williams averages team-highs of 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He's scored in double-figures in six of eight WCC games.
