STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's basketball program dropped an 84-43 decision to first-place Saint Mary's on Tuesday at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
The game was close through the first 10 minutes as Pacific (6-19, 0-10 WCC) trailed just 10-9 at the 10:44 mark. Though, Saint Mary's (19-6, 10-0 WCC) went on a 13-0 run to create separation and shot .583 in the second half to pull away.
Senior
Jalen Brown netted a season-high 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting and was 3-of-4 from long range. Junior
Cam Denson also led the team with 11 points.
Sophomore
Moe Odum, who entered the night ranked second in the conference in assists with 4.8 per game, dished out four.
The Tigers were without senior
Donovan Williams for the second straight game due to injury. In conference, Williams averages team-highs of 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
Saint Mary's, which shot .545 from the floor in the game and .450 from beyond-the-arc, was paced by Alex Ducas who scored 18 points. Luke Barrett finished with 12 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Pacific is now 804-449 all-time at home and 341-216 in the Spanos Center.
The Tigers will play another home game Saturday when they host San Diego at 7 p.m. at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Pacific swept the season series over the Toreros last season with a 99-94 win at home and an 84-82 victory on the road.
