STOCKTON, Calif.- Pacific softball captured its first home victory after breaking through a tie against Creighton in the bottom of the fourth to defeat the Bluejays 6-3. The Tigers followed the win with a rematch against Stony Brook, but eventually fell to the Seawolves 2-1.
"I think today, just like yesterday, we played really well,' head coach
Brian Kolze shared, "We were just on the wrong end of the scoring yesterday. We fought really well, came from behind multiple times and were almost successful. Today, we fell behind, got ahead with an extended lead and were able to put away a game. The last game was another great game, 2-1, someone has to win and someone has to lose. I told the team the pitching and the defense today was outstanding. We didn't get any timely hitting in the second game, but we had great at bats. We threatened to tie the game in the last inning, unfortunately we just aren't finding the way to end up on top. I'm still happy with how we are playing, we're just not happy with the results."
