Pacific to Play Final Two Road Games in Southern California

STOCKTON, Calif. – With only four regular season games left, Pacific women's basketball heads down south to play Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount for its final two road games of the regular season.
 
The Tigers (14-11, 6-6 WCC) face the Waves at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Firestone Fieldhouse and the Lions at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Gersten Pavilion.
 
Both contests will be streamed on ESPN+. Asher Low and Darren Preston will be on the call for the contest at Pepperdine. Brendan and Gary Craig will be broadcasting the game at Loyola Marymount.
 
Don Gubbins will be on the call on radio for both games.
 
Pacific looks to finish strong in the regular season and claim a top seed in the West Coast Conference Tournament. The Tigers currently sit in fifth place in the league standings behind Gonzaga, Portland, Santa Clara and San Francisco. Recently, Pacific picked up an 80-74 upset over Portland on Thursday.
 
The Tigers hold the second best scoring offense in the WCC with 71.6 points per game. Pacific is also second in the league in team field goal percentage (.452) and assists (17.0 per game). In addition, the Tigers are third in free throw percentage (.772) and assist/turnover ratio (0.97).
 
Junior Elizabeth Elliott leads Pacific in scoring with 13.8 points per game and rebounding with 5.5 per game. The Inglewood, Calif. native is currently seventh in points and 12th in boards in the WCC. Elliott has been the leading scorer in seven games and leading rebounder in eight this season. She has recorded double doubles in three of those contests.
 
Graduate student Cecilia Holmberg is leading the Tigers in WCC games with 13.5 points per game while averaging 12.0 per game overall. The Bjarred, Sweden native tallied three 20+ point performances during league play. Holmberg's most recent performance was when she had a career-high 25 points against Portland on Thursday. She is currently 12th in the WCC in scoring.
 
Senior Liz Smith is the Tigers' second leading scorer with 12.9 points per game. The Dallas native has scored in double digits in three of her last five games since returning to the floor. Smith is currently eighth in the league in points and is also third in free throws made.
 
Junior Anaya James is notching 12.0 points per game while leading Pacific with 5.6 assists per game. The Inglewood, Calif. native is currently 19th in total assists (140) and 20th in dishouts per game in the nation. James is second in both categories in the WCC.
 
Senior Kadie Deaton is registering 10.6 points per game while leading the Tigers with 1.8 steals per game. The Wausau, Wis. native's steals are currently a third best in the WCC.
 
Pacific has already won the first games of the season against Pepperdine (72-49) and Loyola Marymount (75-54) this season. Both victories took place at the Alex G. Spanos Center.  
 
The Tigers hold a 19-10 advantage in the all-time series and are currently on a three-game winning streak against the Waves. Jane Nwaba leads Pepperdine (5-21, 1-12 WCC) with 10.2 points per game. The Waves are second in the WCC in blocked shots (3.6) and fifth when holding opponents from the field (.408). KK Brodie is registering 1.1 blocks per game for Pepperdine which is fourth in the league.
 
The all-time series between Pacific and Loyola Marymount is tied at 11-11. The Tigers also have won the last three meetings against the Lions. Loyola Marymount (9-15, 4-8 WCC) leads the WCC in offensive rebounds (13.1 per game) and is fourth in three-pointers made (6.1 per game). Alexis Mark is the Lions' leader with 11.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
 
Up next, the Tigers return to the Spanos Center for their final two regular season games, beginning with their Pink Night game against San Diego at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Junior Anaya James is 19th in total assists (140) and 20th in dishouts per game (5.6) while 61st in assist/turnover ratio (2.03). Senior Liz Smith is ranked 38th in free throw percentage (.863).
 
-Three Tigers are close to reaching 1,000 points in their careers: Anaya James (962), Elizabeth Elliott (944), Liz Smith (942).
