STOCKTON, Calif. – Playing its first home game in the month of December and first in 18 days, the Pacific men's basketball program will welcome Portland State for a 7 p.m. game Wednesday at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
The Tigers (5-7) are 3-1 at home this year with their last two coming over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 27 and Nov. 30, respectively. Pacific is coming off a three-game road spurt.
Despite close losses to Colorado, Illinois State and UNLV, the Tigers held leads in all three games. Pacific led Colorado 48-38 with 13:55 left in the second half. The Tigers were up 20-7 at Illinois State, and were ahead of UNLV 42-38 with 13:06 remaining.
Pacific has been guided senior
Elias Ralph, who leads the team both in scoring and rebounding with 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Ralph ranks top-five in the West Coast Conference in scoring, rebounding, offensive rebounding and field goal percentage (.497). He's scored in double-figures in every game.
Fellow Canadian, sophomore
Elijah Fisher, is second on the team in scoring and also top-five in the conference with 16.5 points per game. Fisher has logged 40 minutes three times.
Junior
Lamar Washington ranks top-10 in the nation in assists with 6.8 per game. He's dished 10 or more assists in two different games. Washington also scores in double-figures with 10.9 points per game.
As a team, the Tigers rank third in the WCC in rebounding with 39.8 per game. Pacific is 48th in the country in defensive rebounds with 27.8 per game.
Portland State (5-5) has a WCC road win on its resume after beating San Diego 85-76 earlier this season. The Vikings also have wins over Wofford and Utah Tech.
Portland State ranks 10th in the nation in blocks (5.8 bpg), 26th in scoring (84.8 pp) and 28th in field goal percentage (.495). Jaylin Henderson averages 14.8 points per game and shoots .411 from long range with a team-high 56 attempts. Qiant Myers ranks top-10 in the country in assists with 6.8 per outing.
The game can be watched on ESPN+ with Zack Bayrouty and Don Gubbins on the call, and can be heard on Fox Sports AM 1280 as Dennis Ackerman as the voice.

Pacific is 807-453 all-time at home and 344-220 in the Alex G. Spanos Center.
- Pacific and Portland State will square off for just the fourth time ever and first since Nov. 29, 1999. The Tigers are going for their first win over the Vikings since Dec. 29, 1980 when they won on the road.
- The Tigers are 4-0 this year when they score at least 80 points.
- Ralph is coming off back-to-back double-doubles. His six double-doubles on the year ranks sixth in the nation.
- Pacific made a recent addition to its roster with the signing of freshman
Amare Campbell, who is eligible to play. Campbell was a two-time All-Conference selection at Etiwanda HS.
