Six Tigers Distinguished with WCC All-Academic

STOCKTON, Calif. – The West Coast Conference released its 2024 All-Academic Teams on Friday and six student-athletes from the Pacific men's water polo program were recognized.
 
Graduate Bae Fountain and senior Mihailo Vukazic were honored on the First-Team, while senior Jeremie Cote, graduate Oliver Fodor, senior Reuel D'Souza and graduate Stefan Vavic earned Honorable Mention.
 
Cote, D'Souza and Vukazic became three-time All-Academic selections after earning the recognitions in the Golden Coast Conference in 2021 and 2022. Fountain and Vavic each picked up their second All-Academic nods.
 
Vukazic was the 2024 WCC Player of the Year and a three-time WCC Player of the Week winner. He was named to the All-Conference First-Team and led the team with 63 goals on the season. Vukazic holds a 3.59 GPA as an art major with a concentration in graphic design.
 
Fountain was named to the All-Conference Second-Team and recorded 177 saves in 20 games. He held 11 teams to under 10 goals and limited five of six WCC opponents to eight goals or less. Fountain carries a cumulative 4.0 GPA as a communication major.
 
Cote earned a spot on the All-Conference Second-Team and was a WCC Player of the Week honoree on Nov. 19. He tallied 36 goals on the season including four hat tricks. Cote has a 3.55 GPA in business administration.
 
Fodor was the 2024 WCC Newcomer of the Year. He netted 27 goals including five hat tricks. Fodor scored at least one goal in 14 different games. Fodor carries a 3.76 GPA in business analytics.
 
D'Souza was an All-Conference First-Team selection and scored a goal in 16 of 20 games. He registered 31 goals on the year including five hat tricks. D'Souza dished out a team-high 45 assists. D'Souza holds a 3.51 GPA as a health and exercise science major.
 
Vavic earned a spot on the WCC All-Tournament Team. He scored a goal in 16 of 20 games and 24 on the year. Vavic netted at least two goals in six different matches. Vavic has a 3.52 GPA as a finance major.
 
All six helped were part of Pacific's WCC regular season championship squad and helped the team to an 18-2 record including 6-0 in conference play.
