MANOA, Hawaii – Two student-athletes recorded double-doubles and five scored in double-figures for the Pacific men's basketball program in an 80-67 win over San Jose State in the first game of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic on Friday on a neutral court at SimpliFi Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Tigers (2-0) led for over 35 minutes against the Spartans (0-2) and were up by double-figures for the last 15 minutes. Pacific clamped down defensively and limited SJSU to a .355 field goal percentage and .158 from long distance.

Elias Ralph and junior
Lamar Washington each finished with a double-double. Ralph tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Washington submitted a career-high 14 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.

The duo was joined in double-figures by sophomore
Elijah Fisher with 13 points and five rebounds, senior
Petar Krivokapic with 12 points and junior
Jefferson Koulibaly with 11 points and five rebounds. Sophomore
Jazz Gardner was also a key contributor with eight points on 4-of-6 shooting.

Pacific shot 18-of-22 (.818) from the free throw line. It included 4-for-4 nights from Washington and senor
Burke Smith.

The Tigers trailed 9-8 early when Koulibaly hit back-to-back threes to spark an 8-0 run and go up 16-9 at the 13:49 mark. Lay-ups by Washington, Fisher and Koulibaly extended it to 30-18 with 5:19 left.

Pacific's largest lead of the half, 35-20, came after a bucket by Ralph in the paint. The Spartans went on a small run at the end of the half but the Tigers were still in front 38-29 at the intermission.

A dunk by Gardner opened a 13-2 run for the Tigers as a three by Krivokapic changed the score to 55-37 with 13:06 to go. Lay-ups by Fisher and Gardner kept Pacific ahead 62-46 with 7:38 remaining.

The Spartans could never get in striking distance down the stretch as a jumper by Gardner made it a 72-57 game with 2:51 left. Pacific pushed up to 80-62 after a pair of free throws by Smith with 45 seconds remaining.

Pacific will continue the Outrigger Rainbow Classic on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. (PT) against Life Pacific. The game will not be televised but can be heard live on Fox Sports AM 1280 with Zack Bayrouty on the call. The tournament will conclude Monday at 9 p.m. (PT) against Hawaii.

- Pacific is 2-0 for the first time since 2013-14.
- It was the first time since Jan. 12, 2017 that two Tigers notched a double-double in the same game after T.J. Wallace had 25 points and 10 assists and Jack Williams turned in 17 points and 14 rebounds against Pepperdine.
- Pacific improved to 84-74 all-time against San Jose State as the two programs met as far back as the 1909-10 season.

- The Tigers won their first neutral court regular season game against a Division I opponent since Nov. 10, 2019 when it beat Florida A&M 76-54.

- Washington, who was coming off a school record 15 assists against Jessup on Monday, surpassed his previous career-high of 13 points against Kansas State on Feb. 11, 2023 as a member of Texas Tech. Washington is averaging 10.5 points and 12.5 assists per game.

- Ralph etched his 12th career double-double, 62nd career double-figure scoring game and 12th career double-digit rebounding performance. He was coming off a career-high 30 points against Jessup.
