Tigers Embark on Final Road Trip at Gonzaga, Washington State

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Pacific women's soccer program completes the 2024-25 campaign on the road in the Evergreen State, facing Gonzaga Wednesday at 6 pm at Luger Field and Washington State Saturday at 4 pm at Lower Soccer Field.

Following their first match of the road trip against the Bulldogs (8-7-2, 4-3-1 WCC), the Tigers (2-15-1, 0-8 WCC) square off with the Cougars (6-5-6, 3-2-3 WCC) for the first time on the pitch as a member of the West Coast Conference.

"We are looking forward to getting another opportunity to get a result," co-head coach Danesha Adams said. "This road trip will be a true test for many different reasons, but we hope to end on a high note. It's one last dance for the season!"

Junior Alexis Pashales has been at the forefront of the Pacific offense, scoring a team-best five goals and 11 points through all 18 matches. As the only Tiger to start every match this year, Pashales paces her team with 24 shot attempts in a team-high 1,404 minutes this season.

Freshman Sierah McCallum is right behind Pashales in the goals department, one shy of Pashales with four on the year. McCallum holds the highest shooting percentage on the Tigers at a .714 rate.

Redshirt junior Ariana Gronauer scored the most recent goal for Pacific, finding the back of the net against Saint Mary's last Saturday. Gronauer has collected a pair of goals and helpers for six points this season.

A trio of goalkeepers have made their marks this season for Pacific with redshirt freshman Hannah McFarlane earning the last five starts in goal. McFarlane has gradually improved each time she's taken the pitch, totaling a career-high eight saves in the effort against the Gaels.

On the backend, three Tigers have reached the 1,000-minute plateau with junior Trianne Cooper, senior Aly Milford and redshirt sophomore Faylinn Berkowitz claiming that mark.

Kicking off the two-game road trip, Pacific will first face on Gonzaga, who enters the competition with three wins in their last four matches. Most recently, the Bulldogs secured a 1-0 win at home over Portland. Paige Alexander leads Gonzaga with six goals and 17 points through 17 starts this year.

Washington State will host Pacific's final contest of 2024. The Cougars earned a 1-0 road victory at San Francisco in their latest WCC match. Before their Senior Day against the Tigers, the Cougars will face Oregon State on Wednesday. Kendall Campbell carries the torch offensively with four goals and nine points.

Pacific and Gonzaga meet for the 17th time in a series that dates back to 1993. The Tigers and Bulldogs battled to a 2-2 tie during the 2022 season. In that contest, Haley Johnson scored a first-half goal.

For the first time since 1998, Pacific and Washington State go head-to-head with the most recent matchup ending in a 2-2 tie. The regular season finale will mark the first time the two programs will clash as WCC opponents.

Both matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Wednesday's match set for 6 p.m. and Saturday's match set for 4 p.m.
