Women’s Soccer Hosts Saint Mary’s in Home Finale

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program plays its final home game of the season, hosting Saint Mary's Saturday at 4:30 pm at Knoles Field.

The Tigers (2-14-1, 0-7 WCC) face the Gaels (6-6-3, 3-2-2 WCC) in the afternoon as the first part of a soccer doubleheader on campus.

"We've enjoyed the vibe and energy our players have brought to every training again this week," co-head coach J.J. Wozniak said. "They continue to put the work in on things that need improvement, but also understand they are doing good things as well. They know another challenge awaits them tomorrow but also know it's another opportunity to get a big result!"

Junior Alexis Pashales leads the Tigers with five goals and 11 points. The native of Henderson, Nevada has scored four goals at home, including one in the last home match against San Diego. Pashales is the only Tiger to have started every game this season, logging a team-high 1,334 minutes through 17 games.

Freshman Sierah McCallum has been effective on the pitch offensively, finding the back of the net four times. McCallum paces Pacific with 10 shots on goal and a shooting percentage of .714. McCallum has one game-winner this season, which came on the road in a 1-0 victory over UC San Diego.

A trio of Tigers have started in goal this season for Pacific with sophomore Libby Davy, freshman Sierra Schwarz and redshirt freshman Hannah McFarlane earning the nods. McFarlane drew the starting assignment last contest, totaling a career-high seven saves in the effort against San Francisco.

Saint Mary's enters Saturday's match following a 4-0 home victory over the Toreros last week. The Gaels are 2-4-2 on the road. Tessa Salvestrin leads Saint Mary's with a team-best eight goals, 18 points and 24 shots on goal.

Pacific and Saint Mary's are set to square off for the 20th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to 1994. The Tigers and Gaels have battled to 0-0 draws in the last two meetings at Knoles Field.

The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dennis Ackerman on the call. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
