STOCKTON, Calif. – Returning home from two straight road West Coast Conference games, the Pacific men's soccer team hosts Portland for its WCC home opener at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Knoles Field.

The Tigers (2-5-2, 0-2 WCC) look to bounce back after a setback last Friday at Oregon State, hoping to use the home crowd to their advantage against the Pilots (2-4-4, 0-0-1 WCC).

Vinzent Zingel leads Pacific with a pair of goals on three shots on goal. Zingel scored a brace for his first career multi-goal performance in a 2-0 victory at UC Riverside.

Junior
Jose Maria Barrera holds the team lead in shots on goal with seven. The Stockton, California native also has one goal on 16 shot attempts, which sits atop the Tiger leaderboards.

Ezekiel Padilla scored his first career goal in the match at Oregon State last week. Padilla has a goal on five shots on target this season.Â

Joshua Moya has been called upon every contest in goal for Pacific. Moya has a 1.44 GAA, .764 save percentage and three shutouts to his name. Moya has totaled 42 saves through nine games.

Aside from Moya, junior
Luca Baltzer has played every minute on the pitch as a reliable midfielder. The native of Oberstenfeld, Germany has a goal and an assist with two shots on goal.

The Pilots enter the competition after earning a scoreless draw in their conference opener last Friday to Santa Clara. Portland is 0-2-1 on the road.Â

Wednesday's meeting marks the 12th all-time contest between the two programs. Since 2014, the Tigers own a 4-1 home record over the Pilots.
