STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific women's basketball hits the road to southern California where it will play San Diego at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Last week, Pacific (10-7, 2-2 WCC) split in their last two home games at Alex G. Spanos Center. The Tigers defeated Loyola Marymount 75-54 on Thursday. Senior
Kadie Deaton led Pacific with a career-high 20 points and eight assists. The Wausau, Wis. native also notched two boards to reach the 300th mark in career rebounds.
Pacific later came up short against San Francisco by a score of 81-68. Junior
Anaya James racked up 18 points, six rebounds and six assists during the contest.

Elizabeth Elliott is second for the Tigers in scoring with 13.8 points per game and has a second West Coast Conference-best .603 field goal percentage. James is third with 12.6 points per game and is the team leader (second in the league) in assists with an average of 5.5 per game. Both Inglewood, Calif. natives are notching 5.6 rebounds per game apiece.
Deaton and graduate student
Cecilia Holmberg are posting 11.2 and 10.2 points per game, respectively.
It's the 35th meeting between Pacific and San Diego (4-13, 0-4 WCC). Last year, the Toreros swept the regular season, but the Tigers claimed the 71-57 upset victory in the quarterfinals of the WCC Tournament.
Pacific has won 11 games in the all-time series against San Diego.
The Toreros are three-time WCC champions, having won the title in 1993, 2000 and 2008.
Veronica Sheffey leads San Diego with 12.5 points, 5.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Kasey Neubert is averaging 10.3 points per game and is second in the WCC with 9.8 rebounds per game.
Up next, Pacific will host Pepperdine for Powercat's birthday and Family Night at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Liz Smith (6th, 13.9 ppg), Elliott (8th, 13.8 ppg), and James (11th, 12.6 ppg) are ranked in the top 20 in the WCC in scoring. In national ranks, Elliott is 19th in field goal percentage (.603). Smith is 37th in free throws made (68), 39th in free throw percentage (.872) and 99th in free throw attempts (78).
- Pacific is ranked in the top 100 in six statistical categories with their highest at 22nd in free throw percentage (.775).
