Each team scored a goal in the first half as the Pacific men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie against host CSU Bakersfield on Sunday night. 

Pacific (2-1-1) Derick Roque scored the lone goal for the Tigers, who were outshot by an 18-10 margin in the contest.

CSU Bakersfield (0-1-2) got its goal on a ball that ricocheted off a Pacific defender after a corner kick for the equalizer.  

Neither team would be able to get a second goal and come away with the win. Vinzent Zingel had four shots, including one on goal to lead the Pacific attack. Tigers goalkeeper Joshua Moya faced 19 shots, making five saves – four of which came in the second half - in the tie. 

Next, Pacific will host Sacramento State on Thursday night at Knoles Field as part of Youth Soccer Night.
