"Not the result we wanted or expected today. It's hard to play on the road but this trip was a huge challenge in a lot of ways and we just didn't quite have enough in the tank today to finish out the weekend with another result," said co-head coach
Danesha Adams."
Four offside calls in the second half kept Pacific from cutting into the NMSU lead. The Aggies outshot the Tigers, 11-7 in the contest.
Libby Davy made four saves in the contest for Pacific.
"Our group had to deal with some adversity during our match today but it's matches and trips like these that go a long way towards the ultimate success we want to achieve this season so we will learn from this and be even better moving forward. With that being said, we are ready to get home, rest up, and recover to gear up for our next match," said co-head coach
J.J. Wozniak.
The Tigers will be excited to return home on Friday, Sept. 8 when they take on Southern Utah at 7 p.m. at Knoles Field.
