2023 Men's Soccer Schedule Release

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's soccer team gears up for an exciting 2023 fall season that kicks off in just over a month.

"We are very excited to get the 2023 underway with our return trip to UCSB," said Head Coach Adam Reeves. "Our schedule is heavily regionally based, which should make it appealing for our alumni base to come out and support the team. With our core group of players returning and now healthy, we are all looking forward to a successful 2023 campaign."

The Tigers start on a road trip to southern California for a two-game set against UC San Diego and UCSB. It will be the second straight year that the Tigers and Tritons face each other to open the season. The Tritons won eight matches last season, including wins over #22 Santa Clara, UNLV, Sacramento State and Cal Poly.

The Gauchos present another early challenge for the Tigers; Santa Barbara won 10 matches en route to a Big West Championship appearance. The program picked up wins over #24 LMU, Oregon State and a draw with #19 Missouri State.

Pacific wraps up August with its first home match of the season against UC Riverside, the team that defeated UC Santa Barbara in the Big West Championship game. UC Riverside collected eight wins with five conference wins and made it to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers are back on the road facing CSU Bakersfield before returning to Knoles Field to host Sacramento State. The Hornets won nine games last season with wins over UC Riverside, Cal Poly and a 1-1 draw with the Tigers.

A quick road trip for the Tigers to UC Davis before returning to Stockton for a high-powered matchup with San Jose State. The Tigers have taken four of five from the Spartans, including a 4-1 win over San Jose State in 2021 at Knoles Field. San Jose State won ten games in 2022 and made it to the second round of the WAC Tournament.

The Tigers wrap up the non-conference schedule with a trip to Utah Valley before hosting Houston Christian to wrap up the first part of the schedule.

Pacific heads on the road for its first WCC match, traveling north to Portland. The Pilots won 15 games last year, the best number in the WCC, and made it to the fourth round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Pittsburgh in overtime.

The Tigers come home for the straight at Knoles Field, hosting LMU, Cal and San Francisco. The Lions picked up nine wins with three in the conference. The home team has won the last three matches between the two squads. Cal is the final non-conference game and will be a part of Pacific's homecoming weekend. The Golden Bears won just one conference game last season and will be looking to rebound in 2023.

Pacific has won two straight against San Francisco and have allowed just one goal in the two games. The Dons were one of two WCC squads not to record a conference win last season.

The Tigers take a quick trip to Saint Mary's before returning to Knoles Field for senior night against Gonzaga, the other team that did not pick up a conference win last season.

Pacific will face San Diego and Santa Clara on the road to finish the season; San Diego was the top team in the WCC last season with six conference wins and eight total wins. Santa Clara recorded just one win in the conference last season, providing a chance for the Tigers to end the regular season on a solid note.
