SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Pacific softball team dropped the final game of the series Sunday afternoon, falling to Santa Clara 8-0 at the Santa Clara Softball Stadium.

Allie Capello picked up hits for the Tigers (9-24, 0-9) as the duo extended their team-leading hitting streaks. Scully recorded a hit in all three games this weekend and lengthened her streak to nine straight games after producing a single in the fourth inning. With her success at the plate, the Valencia, Calif. sophomore now leads the Tigers in batting average at .300.
Capello also recorded a base hit in the fourth to increase her hitting streak to four straight.
The Broncos (21-21, 3-6) built a comfortable lead in the opening inning, plating three for a 3-0 advantage. Five more runs scored in the fourth and fifth innings secured the win for the Broncos.
Pacific returns to action at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, when it takes on nationally ranked Oregon at Bill Simoni Field.
