STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific women's tennis (7-11, 2-6) fell to BYU (11-8, 5-3) by a 6-1 final Friday afternoon.
The Cougars picked up an early point in doubles, taking the wins on courts one and two. Senior
Danielle Zamora and sophomore
Alexis Sam were putting pressure on, but the doubles contest ended with the pair trailing 5-4.
The Cougars scored early in singles, picking up wins on courts four, five and six. Senior
Klara Kosan and Sam went into tiebreaks, Kosan in set one and Sam in set two, but neither Tiger could pick up a win. Senior
Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle won a three-set battle on court three, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.
Pacific is back in action tomorrow for the final contest of the season against #29 San Diego at noon. Senior
Danielle Zamora will be honored tomorrow as a part of the Tigers' senior day.
