The Pacific women's tennis team (6-8, 1-4) will host the California Golden Bears (8-7) before heading north to face Gonzaga (11-10, 2-4) and Portland (9-6, 1-3).
Pacific has won some impressive matches on the individual level despite two team losses the past weekend. Sophomore
Tomi Main continued to impress in singles, winning both her matches this past weekend (6-2, 6-0) against Cal Poly and (6-1, 6-2) against Saint Mary's. Sophomore
Karina Chao picked up her team-leading 11th singles win against Cal Poly.
Cal is coming off a 6-1 win against Oregon. The Bears are 5-3 at home and 3-3 on the road.
Gonzaga is currently on a two-match skid, falling to Pepperdine 7-0 and Loyola Marymount 4-1. The Zags are a solid 7-2 at home.
Portland is also on a two-match skid, falling to San Francisco 4-3 and Loyola Marymount 6-1. The Pilots are 7-2 at home this spring.
The Tigers will host Cal on Tuesday, April 11, at the Eve Zimmer Tennis Center with first serve at 1 p.m. Pacific will then face Gonzaga on Friday, April 14, with first serve at 1 p.m. The Tigers will wrap up the weekend when they face Portland on Saturday, April 15, with first serve at 10 a.m.
