HONOLULU, Hawaii, -- The Pacific softball team dropped a pair of contests on the second day of the Hawaii Spring Fling Tournament, falling to Utah, 12-0, in six innings, and Hawaii, 7-0 Saturday evening at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
"I was disappointed in our lack of discipline in some phases of the game," Head Coach
Brian Kolze said after the doubleheader. "Hopefully tomorrow we can can end this trip on a high note."
Delaney Scully led the Tigers (3-12) in hits throughout the two games, recording three, with two coming against the Rainbow Wahine (12-6). Scully has tallied seven hits in the last four games and has increased her team-leading batting average to .341.
Allie Capello also provided two hits in the second game of the doubleheader, including sending a leadoff double down the right-field line in the top half of the seventh inning.
Four pitchers saw action throughout the evening as
Desiree Smith earned the start against the Utes (12-4), and
Hannah Glad was given the starting nod against the Rainbow Wahine.
Pacific returns to action at noon on Sunday, March 5, as it takes on Niagara in the final game of the Hawaii Spring Fling Tournament.
