EUGENE, Ore. – The Pacific men's golf team finished the first day of the Oregon Duck Invitational in a tie for 10th place at 27-over-par.
The Tigers completed the first round and 15 holes of the second round before play was suspended due to darkness.
"The conditions didn't make it easy, but the guys hung in there pretty well," Head Coach John Cook said. "We need to come out tomorrow, finish the round, and see what happens."
After a frost delay set tee times back 45 minutes, the Tigers opened the tournament with a flurry of birdies over the first few holes. The team held on in challenging conditions to post a round of 13-over-par 297 before the inevitable rain started to fall.
