Tigers Pick up Two Singles Points Despite Dropping Match in Virginia

Williamsburg, Va.- The Pacific women's tennis (4-3) dropped their second match of the three-contest road trip to William & Mary (8-4), 5-2.

Despite the struggles in the doubles competition, the Tigers responded well in the singles competition.

On court #3, sophomore Karina Chao remained undefeated in singles, picking up her fifth straight victory this afternoon when she defeated W&M 6-3, 6-4. Chao will look to go for six straight this Saturday at Long Island. On court #2, sophomore Tomi Main performed with grit and picked up the second point for the Tigers. After dropping the first set 4-6, Main doubled back and won the last two sets, 6-3, 1-0 (10-4).

The Tigers will wrap up their east coast road trip Saturday, Mar. 18th, when they face off against Long Island (5-6) at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET before returning home to open up West Coast Conference play against San Francisco.
