Stockton, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team (1-1) will open up their 2023 season at home against UC Davis (1-4).
The Tigers kicked off their season last weekend in Las Vegas, going 1-1 before the match against Weber State was canceled due to bad weather.
The Tigers started the season with a 5-2 victory against Youngstown State, taking the doubles point and four of the six singles points. Seniors
Klara Kosan and
Danielle Zamora closed out the match for the Tigers, with both singles matches going three sets and Kosan's win leading to the crucial fourth point.Â
Sophomore
Karina Chao has had an impressive start to the season, winning both singles matches she has competed in.
UC Davis is coming off a 5-2 victory against Santa Clara. They won four of six singles points and swept the doubles match.Â
The first serve is set for Saturday, Feb. 11, at noon.
