Pacific Wraps-Up Non-Conference Play at Home against Cal Maritime

STOCKTON Calif. – In the non-conference finale, the Pacific men's basketball program will welcome Cal Maritime for a 2 p.m. tip Saturday at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

In Pacific's (5-9) last home game, it posted a lopsided 68-46 win over Stanislaus State on Monday. The 46 points allowed were a season-low for the Tigers and the fewest they've allowed in a game since Nov. 16, 2021 when it beat Stanislaus State by a similar score of 65-46. Pacific matched its season-high in rebounds with 34.

The Tigers are 803-444 all-time at home and 340-211 in the Spanos Center. Pacific is 4-4 at home this year and will look to get above .500 with a win Saturday.

Junior Cam Denson is coming off his first career double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds at CSU Fullerton. He's the first Tiger to record a double-double in a game this year.

Senior Nick Blake has provided a spark for Pacific since his return. He's played the last three games and is averaging a team-high 12.0 points per game.

Senior Judson Martindale averages 10.5 points per game. He shoots .800 (24-30) from the free throw line and also leads the team in 3FGM with 21. Martindale poured in a season-high 21 points at Northern Arizona.

Sophomore Moe Odum ranks first in the West Coast Conference in steals (1.6 spg) and is second in both assists (4.4 apg) and assist:turnover atio (2.4).  Odum dished out 10 assists in a victory over Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 26, which matched his career-high.

Cal Maritime (0-11) is an NAIA member and competes in the California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac). The Keelhaulers are going for their first win of the season.

Pacific will open West Coast Conference play at home when it hosts San Francisco on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.

NOTES
- It will be just the second-ever meeting between Pacific and Cal Maritime as the Tigers won 80-42 on Dec. 21, 2012. However, the win was later vacated along with the entire 2012-13 season.

- In three seasons under head coach Leonard Perry, the TIgers are 6-0 when holding the opposition to under 60 points.

- Pacific's non-conference slate has been highlighted by an 87-79 victory over Cal on Nov. 10. It was the first win over Cal 11 tries dating back to Dec. 10, 1957 when the Tigers won 87-77 in overtime 69 seasons ago. It was Pacific's first win over a Pac-12 opponent since 1994 when it beat Oregon State.

- The Tigers are 4-1 this season when they record a positive turnover margin, 5-2 when they make more threes than the opposition and 4-1 when leading at half. In three seasons under Perry, Pacific is 22-11 when it makes more threes and 24-8 when leading at half.

- Pacific is 3-1 this season in games decided by one possession (three points or less).

- The Tigers have used seven different starting lineups in 14 games this year.
