FULLERTON, Calif. – In a game that was much closer than the final score indicated, the Pacific men's basketball program dropped a 67-56 decision to Cal State Fullerton which made enough plays down the stretch on Wednesday at Titan Gym.

The game was tied midway through the second half, but the Titans (7-5) knocked down shots late in the game to prevail over the Tigers (5-9).

Pacific garnered four double-figure scorers and shot 8-of-17 (.471) from long range as a team. Junior
Cam Denson stood out with his first career double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. He helped the Tigers outscore the Titans 24-22 in bench points.

Sophomore
Moe Odum led the team with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Senior
Nick Blake tallied 13 points and senior
Donovan Williams recorded 10 points and six rebounds.

CSU Fullerton shot the ball from beyond-the-arc as well with an 8-of-20 (.400) clip. Max Jones scored 16 points off the bench and Dominic Brewton recorded 15 points.

Pacific led 15-10 at the 11:53 mark after a jumper by Odum. A strong drive by Blake kept the team ahead 18-13 with 8:18 remaining.

A driving lay-up by Denson increased it to 23-17 with 6:17 to go. The Tigers took their largest lead of the game 27-19 after a three by Odum with 3:34 left.

Though, CSU Fullerton responded with an 11-0 run to take a 30-27 edge with a minute left. Blake scored the last field goal of the half as Pacific trailed 30-29 at the intermission.

The Tigers tied it early in the second half on a three by Odum and took a 34-32 lead on a lay-in by Blake at the 18:17 mark. Pacific remained ahead 45-42 after a pair of free throws by Blake with 13:01 remaining.

After CSU Fullerton went up 46-45, the Tigers took their final advantage of the game 48-46 on a three by Williams with 12:03 remaining. However, the Titans answered with an 8-0 spurt to go back in front 54-48 with 7:39 remaining and Pacific couldn't catch back up. CSU Fullerton increased its edge in the closing minutes.

The Tigers will conclude non-conference action on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. when they host Cal Maritime at the Spanos Center. Pacific will open West Coast Conference play at home when it hosts San Francisco on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.

NOTES
- Pacific continues to lead the all-time series record against Cal State Fullerton 48-41. Both teams have winning records on their respective home floors, with the Tigers 31-12 in Stockton and the Titans 28-16 in Fullerton.

- Pacific's .471 shooting percentage from three-point range was its second-highest of the season, only behind a 13-of-26 (.500) day in a victory at Cal.

- Denson is the first Pacific student-athlete to submit a double-double in a game this season. His 10 rebounds surpassed his previous career-high of nine set three times. Denson turned in his seventh double-figure scoring game of the year and 11th of his career.

- Odum entered the game ranked second in the West Coast Conference in both assists and assist:turnover ratio and finished with four assists and one turnover. He also began the day ranked third in the WCC in steals (1.5 spg) and grabbed three. Odum notched his fifth double-digit scoring performance of the season and 10th of his career.

- Blake, who made just his third appearance of the season, etched his second straight double-figure scoring game and 27th of his career.

- Williams netted his fifth double-digit scoring outing of the year and 11th of his career. He was 3-of-5 from the field and nailed a pair of threes.

- The Tigers used their seventh different starting lineup of the season. It featured Blake, freshman
Villiam Garcia Adsten, Odum, graduate
Greg Outlaw and sophomore
Makai Richards.
