STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team welcomes two new additions after the latest national signing day, with Christof Schaertlin Coffey joining the Tigers for the upcoming spring 2023-24 season and Niv Zuckerman joining in the fall of 2024.
Incoming 2024-25 freshman Zuckerman hails from Raanana, Israel. Born at the end of 2002 and raised in Raanana alongside two siblings and his parents, Zuckerman is set to join the Tigers after a successful start to his career on and off the court.
After graduating high school in the summer of 2021, Zuckerman enlisted in a military career while continuing his tennis training. Recognized by his fellow servicemen for his high dedication and work ethic, Zuckerman's service is set to last through the spring of 2024.
On the court, Zuckerman rose to the ranks, clocking in at 182 in the ITF Juniors, 1317 in ATP doubles and 717 in ITF Men. In his pursuit of higher education, Pacific aligned with his ambitions of a four-year degree from an institution with strong academic and athletic programs. He hopes to utilize a Pacific business degree for a long-lasting career in the field.

Robin Goodman shared, "He is very mature, hard-working, and I have thoroughly enjoyed our conversations during the recruiting process."
He continued, "Niv is clearly a team player and will undoubtedly strive for excellence on the court and in the classroom."
Also joining the Tigers is incoming spring 2023-24 freshman Schaertlin Coffey. He joins at the turn of the new year having also celebrated a successful tennis career thus far. On the court, he was a singles finalist in the J60 and a J60 semifinalist twice. In doubles he won the J100 title, while claiming the runner up in the J200 and a quarterfinal finish in the J300. He was also named the LTA Rising Star.
His excitement for Pacific grows by the day as he looks forward to joining the team and competing alongside the Tigers, while pursuing his degree. He's eager to hit the ground running upon arrival to chase a conference title and NCAA tournament berth with his new teammates, while helping build up the team dynamic and culture.
"Christof is a fantastic addition to our team," Goodman said, "He is from my hometown in England and trains at the same academy I did growing up."
He added, "He is a bright young man, talented and has great experience playing on a team. I look forward to his arrival this coming spring!"
