STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers are looking to get back on track after an opening night defeat to UC San Diego. The Tigers host CSU Bakersfield on Sunday evening and look to continue their two-game winning streak against the Roadrunners.
Ryan Her scored the lone goal for the Tigers in the opener off a penalty kick. Her has not missed a penalty kick in his time with Pacific.
CSU Bakersfield brings a young roster to the field, with eight first-year students and 17 total first- and second-year students. The Roadrunners have yet to score a goal this season, falling 2-0 in the season opener at San Jose State. The Roadrunners went 5-4 in the conference last season and will look to improve on that number in the 2022 season.
"I am looking forward to seeing a response from our group after a disappointing result Thursday night," said Head Coach
Adam Reeves. "We had a great first half and let ourselves down in the second. It is important that we come out and not only execute but do all the little things right that make a team successful in college soccer. Sometimes it has more to do with the tackling, the battling and the running than the technical aspect in the passing and possession."
