Tigers Fall to Wolverines

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers finished their final home game of the season, falling to Utah Valley 11-0.

James Arakawa, Telly Hill, Colby Canales, Aidan Selfridge and Jarryd Wood all had hits for the Tigers. James McClenaghan had two walks in the lead-off spot.

Tyler Stout started the game for the Tigers, pitching 3.0 innings, allowing six hits and four runs. Nick Swanson pitched two innings in relief with two strikeouts. Jon Fortner and Caden Duke both had scoreless appearances.

The Wolverines did most of the scoring in the fourth inning, scoring eight runs on five hits to pull away from the Tigers. The Tigers threated with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third but could not score, as a fly out to right ended the inning.

The Wolverines scored twice more in the seventh and once in the eighth to complete the 11-0 win.

The Tigers head to San Francisco this weekend to take on the Dons. The weekend series will mark the end of the season for the Tigers.
