Tigers Hope to Top Two Tough Rivals This Weekend

DAVIS, Calif. – The Pacific Women's Tennis Team travels to UC Davis on Friday, April 8, to take on the Aggies and hosts the Saint Mary's Gaels on Saturday, April 9, at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

The Tigers are 5-11 against the Aggies overall, with the last game being a close 4-3 loss for the Tigers in February 2021.

"We always look forward to playing UC Davis and consider them to be our biggest nonconference rival," said Head Coach Mike Erwin. "Last year, the match came down to a third-set tiebreaker, resulting in us losing 4-3. We're really hoping to turn the tables and have that victory on our side this year."

The Tigers have not won against the Gaels in their 14 contests, and they are hoping to change that this weekend.

"Against Saint Mary's, we feel our singles lineup matches up very well with theirs," said Erwin. "We're looking for our squad to take the experience they've gained so far this season, use it and build upon it."
