In November, the University of the Pacific officially announced the $1.5 million Pacific Football Legacy Project fundraising initiative. The initiative's goal was to memorialize the Tiger Football program and tell the rich history of football at Pacific for generations to come.
At the heart of the project is the construction of Stagg Memorial Football Plaza, a nearly 9,000 sq. ft. open space across from the Alex G. Spanos Center. The plaza will be completed when the university hosts its football reunion weekend in conjunction with Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony April 29-30, 2022.
Pacific is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Fund Raisers Sports to officially kick off a memorial brick campaign to allow former players, alumni and fans of the program to purchase a personalized brick via uoplegacybrick.com. Each brick will enable supporters to memorialize the Legacy of Pacific Football in their own unique and personal way. Bricks are limited to 350 and will be installed in late July and early August to start the 2022-23 academic year.
The Legacy Project also includes creating a Pacific football archival collection that will be cataloged and stored in the university archives and a "Forever Football" endowed scholarship for student-athletes.
