Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Women's Tennis team took its record to 8-5 Thursday after a commanding 4-0 win against Portland State, now 7-9.

"Solid effort from our group today," said Head Coach Mike Erwin. "Starting with doubles, we came out with an intensity that was sustained throughout the match. We're looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow against San Francisco."

The Tigers won the doubles point after junior Klara Kosan and freshman MiaAngelina Ruja won 6-4 in first doubles, and junior Danielle Zamora and freshman Megan Carmichael won third doubles 6-4.

Freshman Alexis Sam took sixth singles by storm, winning 6-0, 6-2. Kosan won second doubles in a breezy 6-0, 6-2 fashion. The match-winning point came from Ruja in first singles after she won 6-3, 6-1.

The Tigers take on the San Francisco Dons Friday at 1 p.m. at home. This match also serves as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day for the Tigers.
