Tigers Host Two at Home, Hoping to Capitalize

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Women's Tennis team (7-5) hosts two games at home this week. Thursday, the Tigers host Portland State (6-8) on Thursday at 1 p.m. and San Francisco (7-4) on Friday at 1 p.m.

"We're looking forward to being back home, coming off a successful road trip," said Head Coach Mike Erwin. "Our group is looking forward to being back at The Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center after so many matches on the road this year. We're looking to continue our solid play and expect some breakout performances."

This will be the first meeting between the Tigers and Vikings on Thursday.

Friday's match against San Francisco will be the second WCC match for the Tigers this season and the first for the Dons. The Dons were tabbed seventh in the WCC preseason poll; the Tigers ninth. The Tigers have a 6-8 record against San Francisco, losing the last match between the two schools 2-5 in April 2021.

The community is invited to cheer for the tennis squad on Thursday and Friday (Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day). Admission is free.

The seven wins this year for the Tigers are the most in the last six seasons. Pacific added three to the win column during spring break, knocking off New Mexico State, UTEP and Tarleton State before falling to Nevada on Friday.
