Box Score RENO, Nev. - The Pacific Women's Tennis team (7-5) took on a tough Nevada team (6-2) Friday afternoon in Reno. The Tigers fell to the Wolf Pack but not without a fight.
The Wolf Pack took an early lead, getting the doubles point after securing the win in third and first doubles.
Winning the sixth singles match, the Wolf Pack was ahead 2-0, and the Tigers kicked it into high gear.
Freshman MiaAngelina Ruja won first singles with two impressive matches, 6-0, 6-1.
The Tigers lost fifth singles, moving the overall match score to 3-1 for the Wolf Pack.
Junior Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle won her third singles match, 6-4, 6-3, pulling the Tigers within one, 3-2.
Junior Klara Kosan won second singles, 7-5, 6-3, tying the match at 3-3.
That brought everything down to fourth singles. With both teams watching on the sidelines, freshman Megan Carmichael fought tough but fell to her Wolf Pack counterpart 6-4, 7-6.
The Tigers host Portland State at home at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 24.
