Women's Tennis Sets Off on Southern Three-Match Roadtrip

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Pacific Women's Tennis team kicks off a southern road trip this weekend, starting with a Friday morning match at New Mexico State, followed by a Saturday morning match at UTEP and ending with a Tuesday morning match at Tarleton State.

Against the Aggies, the Tigers have a 7-3 record, winning the last five. The match takes place at the New Mexico State Tennis Center at 10 a.m. (PST) 11 a.m. (MST) on Friday.

The Tigers have only faced the UTEP Miners once and came away victorious. Saturday's match occurs at the El Paso Tennis Club at 11 a.m. (PST) noon (MST).

This will be the first time the Tigers take on the Texans. The match takes place at the Potishman-Lard Tennis Courts at 8 a.m. (PST) 10 a.m. (CST) on Tuesday, March 15.

"Our squad is eager to get back on the court after dropping some hard-fought matches," said Head Coach Mike Erwin. "I'm looking for some bounce back and breakthrough performances from our ladies."

Freshman MiaAnjelina Ruja made the move to first singles for Pacific's last two matches and continues to be a player to watch.
