WAIMEA, Hawaii – The Tiger golf team fell behind host Hawaii on the final day of the three-day Amer Ari Invitational to finish 18th in the 19-team field. Pacific carded a 319 on the last day to finish with a three-day total of 911. Hawaii had its best day in the event and finished ahead of the Tigers with an 893 score.
The competitive field included second-ranked North Carolina and 11 other programs ranked in the Top 50. Oklahoma State won the event with a team score of 814, or 50-under par, by making a charge on the final nine holes to edge Texas Tech by one stroke. First-day leader Arizona State finished third, and North Carolina fourth.
Junior
Petr Janik was the top finisher for the Tigers on the third day and in the tournament. He had five birdies on the final day to contribute to a three-over-par 75. His final tournament score of 222 (73-74-75), good for a tie for 87th.

Maverick Pavletich recorded a final day five-over-par 77 to finish with a 226. Junior
Leonardo Rigamonti, who had a 13-over-par 85 on the final day, and sophomore
Haakon Mathiesen, who carded an 11-over-par 83, both finished with a 232 total. Senior
Riley Killip was 12-over par on the final day with an 84 and a three-day total of 238 (+22).

John Cook said the team will focus on getting ready to compete in a few weeks.
On Monday, March 14, the Tigers return to action for the two-day Grand Canyon Invitational.
